OK, I hate to through a wrench into this trivia but,
Are you talking cities , towns and/ or villages???
Because I belive that Hastings-on-Hudson should count as well.
Hastings is considered a village in the town of Hastings,
Annandale-on-Hudson is located in the town of Red Hook.
It is considered a hamlet (village) in Dutchess County.
Castleton-on-Hudson is also a village in the town Schodack in
Rensselear County.

Wilkes-Barre is a core city of Scranton Pa.
Just curious??

Wharf,
I said "cities" but really the data is a compilation of places. I'm not sure of the criteria needed to be in this source. It's a combination of population, historical significance and regional importance and a bunch more. I'm sure there's a lot more that went into determining what would be in this source but I'm not privy to that info. I just know that these show up on various maps depending on the scale of the particular map.

Thanks for the info!
